Experience:
Mr. Blieszner represents architects, engineers, contractors, developers and public and private owners in all aspects of construction projects from initial planning and contracting through final close out. His work includes claim resolution through mediation, arbitration and litigation. He has prosecuted and defended claims for malpractice against design professionals and has represented numerous state and local governmental agencies in contract negotiations and claim resolution for public construction projects. Mr. Blieszner lectures frequently at continuing education seminars on mechanic’s liens, construction contracting and related matters. He is the author of the Local Government Contracting chapter of Colorado Construction Law published by CLE in Colorado, Inc. From 1995 to 1998 he served as the Designated Hearing Officer for the City and County of Denver Departments of Public Works and Aviation adjudicating claims arising from Denver construction projects including the construction of Denver International Airport. He has been active in the Design Build Institute of America and currently is serving a two year term as President of the DBIA Rocky Mountain Region, encompassing Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and Montana. |
