Experience:

John F. (Jeff) Welborn specializes in oil and gas, mining, corporate and partnership matters, regulatory litigation and mediation, and has extensive experience negotiating and drafting natural resource development agreements, financing arrangements, and conveyance documents.  Mr. Welborn served as a Commissioner (1982-1992) and Chairman (1987-1992) of the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, and as Chairman (1983) of the Mineral Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association. He has been an Adjunct Professor of Oil & Gas Law, of Natural Resources Law, and of Water Law at the University of Denver College of Law, and has taught oil and gas and natural resources law to lawyers and landmen for continuing education seminars.  Mr. Welborn is the former mayor of Cherry Hills Village. He currently works for Western Mining Services LLC consulting for mining companies and no longer actively practices law.
