The firm has wide-ranging experience in water rights and matters related to water law including participation in drafting Colorado water statutes.

We frequently evaluate and protect the water rights of our clients, and negotiate and litigate water disputes in Colorado Water Court.

Highlights:

• Robert Welborn drafted and presented the Colorado Water Rights Determination Act to the Colorado Legislature.

• Assisted in planning, land acquisition, water rights adjudication and conveyance and construction of a water system for a small community in the Denver metro area.

• Provide legal counsel for water resource development, including underground storage of water, conjunctive use projects and impacts of oil and gas development on current and future water resources.
