Overview

Ben joined Welborn in 2022 after practicing law in the State of Washington for several years. He primarily represents clients in environmental and natural resources issues, including regulatory, permitting, compliance, enforcement defense, rulemakings, and related litigation in federal and state, trial, and appellate courts. He has assisted clients with matters involving the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, CERCLA, Endangered Species Act, and public lands.

Ben was born and raised in Connecticut. He graduated from Connecticut College in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Economics. In 2015, he graduated from Vermont Law School, where he served as Articles Editor for the Vermont Law Review and as a Clinician for the Environmental Advocacy Clinic. After law school Ben served as a Judicial Clerk in Alaska Superior Court’s Third Judicial District. In 2017, Ben received an LL.M. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law with a Certificate of Specialization in Environmental Law. He also served as an Associate Editor for the Ecology Law Quarterly.
