Grace Fox represents clients in complex commercial actions at both the trial and appellate levels. Prior to joining WSMT in 2018, Grace was a litigation associate in the Chicago office of a large international law firm and a Denver litigation boutique firm. She has experience in commercial disputes, internal and regulatory investigations, pharmaceutical patent litigation, antitrust matters, professional malpractice defense, and insurance bad faith defense.

Grace has developed significant litigation experience in her short time practicing. She has argued before the Seventh Circuit and argued winning motions and jury instructions in court. Grace has also successfully examined witnesses during trial, in addition to preparing witnesses for trial and conducting numerous depositions, including 30(b)6, fact, and expert witnesses.

After law school, Grace completed a fellowship in the Federal Litigation Unit of the National Immigrant Justice Center. She assisted with advocacy on behalf of non-citizens and other entrants to the United States.

  • Won a complete defense verdict in a professional liability claim against a law firm and lawyer.
  • Argued and won a motion to dismiss for a utility client in federal court.
  • Assisted on an internal investigation into alleged fraud in a healthcare organization.
  • Assisted a health system against claims brought by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) relating to a $7 billion merger.
  • Briefed and argued a Seventh Circuit appeal on behalf of a federal inmate.
  • Assisted in the defense of a federal MDL brought by auto collision repair shops accusing 80 different auto insurers of conspiring to deflate repair costs.
