Kate joined Welborn in 2019 after obtaining her law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. During law school, Kate served on the Editorial Board for the University of Denver Water Law Review and worked as a law clerk at Denver Water. Her studies concentrated on natural resources to enrich her oil and gas and water law practices.

Kate was born and raised in Arizona. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arizona in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism.
