Overview

Sarah was recognized as one of the “Top Women in Energy” by the Denver Business Journal for her work with both traditional and renewable energy clients. She enjoys partnering with her clients from pre-project planning and design, through community outreach, land use planning, project development, and permitting. She regularly assists clients with site control, development plans, surveys, and title insurance commitments, and advises them regarding local land-use planning, title review, due diligence, and title curative.  In particular, clients rely on Sarah for her specialized expertise in leasing, land use, and permitting on state and federal lands. Sarah also has extensive experience in real estate title examination, having drafted hundreds of surface and mineral title opinions covering fee, state, and federal assets.

  • Lead counsel to numerous solar developers in land acquisitions for utility-scale generation facilities
  • Lead counsel to solar and wind developers permitting facilities on federal land
  • Authored real estate title opinions covering fee, federal, and state lands throughout the Rocky Mountain region
  • Authored acquisition title opinions and conducted due diligence for asset exchange of thousands of acres in the DJ Basin
