As a past chair of the Natural Resources and Energy Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association, Sheryl has extensive, authoritative experience in oil and gas title and transactions and issues related to real property law.

She has worked on many issues relating to federal oil and gas leases and federal exploratory units. She assists clients in drafting agreements and title curative documents. She is the author of a number of articles on oil and gas topics.

Experience & Results

Sheryl has written title opinions covering drilling units throughout the Rocky Mountain region, covering fee and federal lands. She has also worked on many acquisition title due diligence projects. Sheryl’s larger title projects have addressed ownership in federal exploratory units and drilling and spacing units for horizontal wells. She works with the firm’s transactional lawyers on title issues in purchase and sale agreements.
