Scott L. Turner was born and raised in Valparaiso, Indiana. After completing his undergraduate education at Indiana University in 1998, he worked as a business and information technology consultant with Accenture, LLP for seven years in locales throughout the United States and abroad. While in law school, he was a teaching assistant for first-year civil procedure classes and president of the American Constitution Society.

Mr. Turner specializes in providing a range of oil and gas title, transactional, and real estate services.

REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS

  • Authored title opinions covering fee, federal and state lands in the Rocky Mountain region
  • Examined mineral title, assisted with due diligence and assisted in drafting title opinions covering lands and mineral interests relating to the Bakken and Niobrara formations
  • Examined mineral title and assisted with due diligence for oil and gas matters throughout Colorado
  • Performed due diligence for a leasehold acquisition for a multi-million dollar purchase of oil and gas assets in Niobrara County, Wyoming
  • Drafted real estate contracts, conveyances, loan agreements and financing documents for secured and cash transactions for a real estate developer in Greenwood Village, Colorado
  • Drafted real estate contracts, conveyances, loan agreements and financing documents for secured and cash transactions for a real estate developer in Greenwood Village, Colorado
  • Provided legal analysis and drafted real estate, title, and closing documents for several multi-million dollar residences and condominiums
